Sobelnord was established in 1969 as a shipbroker in Brussels. It evolved from being Belgium's premier tanker ,bulk chartering and project broker to one of the founding members of LSS sa. LSS was a worldwide capesize broking association that became one of the leading global dry cargo brokers during the Chinese led shipping boom of the first decade of this century and stopped broking activities in 2018.

Today Sobelnord acts as consultant, advisor and manager for a number of outside clients and portfolio companies.
